What is the Local Offer?
As of 1st September 2014 every Local Authority was required to publish information about their services and what they expected to be available in their area to support children and young people from birth to 25 that have Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND). They also had to document alternative services from outside the area that children and young people from within their area could access. This publication is also known as the 'Local Offer'. The Local Offer has information about education, health and care services, leisure activities and support groups all in one convienient place.
